A Boating Safety Class is being offered Saturday April 27th, 2019 at the Michigan City Yacht Club from 10a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Cost is $50 per person, which includes lunch catered by Bartlett's Fish Camp Restaurant. The course will be conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Registration is required as seating is limited.
Participants will learn:
1. General information about power and sail vessels, including personal watercraft, like jet skis or kayaks.
2. Information to make your boating experience safer and more comfortable.
3. Laws and regulations that impact any recreational boaters, no matter how small a vessel.
Participants will also receive a certificate of completion, if they successfully pass the open book exam taken the day of the class. Some insurers look favorably on earning the USCG Certificate of Completion.
